1. Things

RAPIDO

Next I will explain a little about Rapido. Rapido is one of the tools in technical drawing. This Rapido is used by professional technical drawing technicians because it uses permanent ink. Therefore there should be no errors in the drawing process when using rapido.

Rapidograph or Rapido is a tool for drawing techniques, usually a complete set with the others. Rapido is widely used in designing architectural drawings of buildings and civil buildings. Rapido's size has been adjusted according to ISO rules. These sizes vary, the smallest size is 0.1 mm and the largest size is 2 mm. To distinguish the desired line thickness, in general, each Rapido is marked with a different color pattern on the lid. So that with Rapido, the thickness of the line, the height of the letters and numbers of the printed letters can be adjusted. Usually the weight of each 1 rapidograph is 0.7 gram. The Rapido eye is a pipe with a certain diameter, so the size of the Rapido is determined by the diameter of the pipe used. Rotring Rapido or a pen with a nib/nib made of stainless steel is easy to clean after use, ink can be refilled with a nib thickness of 0.1mm. But Rapido does not use graphite, but uses a special permanent ink. In 1934, Rotring released the "Multipen", a mechanical pencil that allowed color variations, with four colors available in one pencil. Although the Stylograph never overtook the fountain pen as a writing tool, by 1953, Rotring's "Rapidograph" model had become an example of the technical pen of its time, and the Rapidograph Inc. was founded in the United States a year later. The Rapidograph replaced the measuring pen and greatly simplified the technical drawing process.
